The professional range is equipped with a thermal disconnect device which disconnects the high capacity metal oxide varistor from the mains if they are over stressed due to frequent high energy surges or long over voltage conditions, if the thermal disconnect triggers, it will also automatically disconnect the power as a further precaution.
