The vandal-proof proximity readers are RFID devices that offer the convenience of contactless authentication for system users. They are compatible with both Switch2 and Net2 systems and come with a choice of black or white covers/bezels. The reader should be wired according to the instructions on the control unit label.
Please note: Avoid mounting proximity readers on metal surfaces or near other proximity readers, as this will affect the read range.
To use, hold a token close to the reader. Once the token is read, the control unit checks the access permissions for that user. Based on this information, access is either granted or denied. An audible tone will indicate whether access has been granted or denied.
