The ImproX (iTRT) Intelligent Twin Reader Terminal represents the second generation of the highly successful ImproX TRT. Utilising the RS485 Bus Connection, the ImproX iTRT seamlessly integrates with the ImproX range of Access Control Systems and OEM applications.
The ImproX iTRT is versatile, compatible with various ImproX Hardware such as the Multi-discipline Reader Range, Wiegand Reader Range, Multi-mode Remote Range, and third-party Barcode and Magstripe Readers. For applications requiring extended range, the connection of the ImproX (IR) Infrared Receiver and the ImproX RF 4-Channel Receiver to the ImproX iTRT is possible. Each ImproX iTRT is designed to work with up to two Readers or Receivers.
Significant memory enhancements empower the ImproX iTRT to store up to 10,000 Tags and 10,000 Buffered Transactions per channel, offering the additional advantage of off-line validation. In this optional mode, the ImproX iTRT grants access to Tags present in the Terminal’s transaction buffer, proving valuable in instances where communication between the ImproX iTRT and the Controller is disrupted.
Among the new features is a Software Utility enabling on-site upgrades of the Terminal with zero downtime.
- Cost-effective solution seamlessly integrates with legacy systems.
- Supports various terminal communication options:
- Ethernet: Door Controllers (XRT920 and IPS921 only) connect to the chosen System Controller using existing IP infrastructure.
- RS485: A highly reliable method unaffected by network problems for connecting to the selected System Controller.
- Onboard intelligence enables the terminal to operate offline from the Controller.
- Interfaces with ImproX Readers, including Multi-discipline, Wiegand, and Multi-mode Readers.
- Full Wiegand Support is provided.
- Connects to ImproX IR, ImproX RF, and third-party Wiegand Readers.
- Allows connection to up to two Readers or Third-party Devices at each ImproX iTRT, enabling Relaxed or Full Anti-passback (APB) access on a single Door or single entry on two Doors.
- End-of-line (EOL) Sensing on Door Open Sensor (DOS) Inputs.
- Operates with power inputs in the range of 10 V to 30 V DC.
- Features an excellent user interface consisting of 14 LED “Diagnostic Indicators.”
- Onboard memory supports Off-line Redundancy with:
- Up to 10,000 Tags.
- Up to 10,000 buffered transactions per channel.
- Two 10 A independent single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) Relay Outputs for interfacing with door strikes, magnetic locks, and other third-party devices (e.g., alarm panels or lighting).
- Four Digital Inputs, including two Door Open Sensor (DOS) and two Request to Exit (RTE) Inputs.
- Software utility allows firmware upgrades on-site without removing the terminal, ensuring zero downtime.
