LK268
Paxton Net2 Reader – Energy Saving
Datasheet:
LK268
Our Proximity energy-saving reader minimises energy wastage, helping customers save money on their utility bills. The reader cover is designed to securely hold a user card. Once inserted, the card’s presence in the reader triggers a relay that activates all connected equipment. When the card is removed, the relay deactivates, turning off all equipment.
This system operates on the principle that users must remove their proximity card from the reader to move freely around a site, discouraging common practices such as leaving lights and electrical equipment on unnecessarily.
Furthermore, the Energy-saving reader can manage power to machinery, making it particularly useful for regulating access to hazardous equipment in workshops. It allows power to be activated only when a trained staff member inserts their user card, aiding compliance with health and safety regulations.
In contrast to standard card-operated energy management units typically found in hotel rooms, our reader requires authentication before functioning, granting greater control over utility and equipment usage.
Additionally, the reader is compatible with Mifare cards, meaning customers already using Mifare cards with Net2 can seamlessly enjoy enhanced energy-saving and safety benefits without needing to replace their access tokens. The Energy-saving reader is straightforward to install and can be easily retrofitted to any site without significant expense.
