The MEGAnet™ NEO HEAVY DUTY CORRUGATED STEEL TAPE OPTIC FIBRE comprises fibres arranged within several gel-filled loose tubes encircling a centre strength member made of glass-reinforced plastic. This NHDCST cable is reinforced by a more substantial glass-reinforced plastic strength member (GRP), PE bedding, corrugated steel tape, and a polyethylene outer sheath. The single-mode fibre specification has been enhanced to G657A, providing a cable that is significantly less susceptible to macro-bends, approximately ten times less sensitive compared to traditional G652D optic fibre.
